STRATAGEMICS: SOMETHING NEW IN A SUMMER DAY CAMP How much do you like games?   Yugioh, Magic, Star Wars minis, and Settlers are just some of the modern games we teach and play at our camps.  Kids come mainly to play and improve in their favorites, but they love to learn all the new games we feature.  We hold tournaments against quality competition as well as hours and hours of free choice gaming, all in a positive environment.  We offer the opportunity to trade for what you need, to fine tune decks or teams, and to test ideas until you're tournament-ready.  Want to learn classics like Chess, Backgammon and Mah Jong?  We do that too!  This is our third year of offering these camps, and the response has been outstanding.   HOW DOES IT WORK?  WHAT IS THIS CAMP LIKE? Soon after 9AM arrival campers start figuring out trades or playing casual games.  Around 9:45,  the day's feature game is presented, with basic rules and best strategies.   Campers are given all they game gear they need to get started, and then we let the games begin!  Tournaments with prizes for winners take place  in both expert and beginner categories.   After lunch and recreation time outside, final rounds are played while  those not involved in finals either watch the top players, work out trades, learn new games or just play.  Tournaments run Monday through Wednesday; we reserve Thursday and Friday to introduce as many new games as possible.  Overall, it's a great week! WHAT CAMPS ARE OFFERED, AND WHAT ARE THE DATES? In addition to the Strategy Gaming Camps described above, Stratagemics hosts STRATEGY CLASSROOM CAMP, which offers plenty of gaming, but also  a more academic approach to understanding strategy.  In these camps we explore higher level strategy, such as mathematical probability, terrain and technology as they relate to both major historical battles and to the games of today.  This year, an exploration of terrain in the conflicts of Ancient Greece, and on Game Theory. 2009 Dates:   Summer Strategy Game Camp:    6/22-6/26  Park Road Montessori School Strategy Classroom Camp:          6/29-7/02  same location Summer Strategy Game Camp:    7/06-7/10  same location Summer Strategy Game Camp:    7/13-7/17  same location
